What to say first?

First blog on my site. What is the first thing to discuss? What is the most important thing that needs to be conveyed, said, elaborated, explored, etc? How important is it to be an individual, to be different, to have your own identity as an instructor? To me 100%. People can take a Zumba class anywhere. But why are they going to take YOUR Zumba class. What makes it special? I'll tell you, personality.................Anyone can be taught to dance up in front, but it takes personality to be able to teach. Is your personality fun, engaging, inspriational, challenging, standoffish, inviting, intimidating, motivating???????????? You need to be 1000% honest with yourself. How do students see and feel about you when your teaching? Would you come back to YOUR own class? Very often, I apologize to my students, sorry class kind of sucked today, I just felt my personality wasn't all in it today. I didn't give them what they came for, so they may not come back. Work on your own personality, your own style,. Don't copy or worry about what everyone else is doing. Just be a kick ass YOU!!!.
